Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for the over all management of the client business relationship with Mediaplex Systems Inc. An effective Account Manager will project a professional image, act independently following company policies and procedures, must be a self starter, and take ownership of client issues and resolution. The Account Manager will be relied upon by Mediaplex management as the primary point of contact regarding all aspects of the business relationship with the client. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Attend new business pitch activities as needed and requested. Represent Mediaplex at trade shows and other industry events as requested. Identify sales opportunities with existing clients and advise sales team as client needs change Acquire a solid understanding of all Mediaplex Systems products and be able to demonstrate at least two productsImplementation Responsibilities Attend implementation meetings to gain a full understanding of new client's business and begin to develop relationships with key stakeholders. Insure that our new client fully understands our support infrastructure, how to communicate with us and what support options are available to them. Obtain and understand any special business needs and any system configuration/customization implemented to support these needs, document and communicate these items to all interested parties.Account Management Responsibilities Develop and maintain active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels. Develop in depth knowledge of the industry and client business needs Coordinate client requests for training. Manage product enhancement requests submitted by clients. Monitor help ticket database and work with client support management to insure clients' support needs are being addressed on a timely basis. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, escalate, track and resolve client issues. Advise clients on general industry practices while insuring client confidentiality is maintained. Insure client contact database is up to date. Conduct on-site and remote client status meetings. Provide written status reports and activity reports to management. Assist the finance team when needed with collection of delinquent payments. Contribute to the improvement of the Client Services department by completing assigned projects Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in advertising or marketing or equivalent work experience 2+ years of account management experience 1+ years of advertising agency experience
