I purchased this battery primarily to use with my iphone; and I could not be happier. I do recommend getting a small zipper camera case to carry the battery, adapter tips, and USB cable. I purchased a Case Logic brand case that works perfectly (see my published "customer photo"). Even the manual, with a little trimming, fits inside the case (with the manual alongside the battery, it prevents something from being pressed up against the battery buttons through the soft case and turning it on). As for the wall charger, it stays at home. On trips I simply place it in my suitcase until I reach my final destination. With this size battery and its available power, there is no need to lug around the wall charger.

Some reviews mention that a cheaper version of this battery is available. I caution, sometimes you get what you pay for. 3gJuice has excellent, and I mean excellent customer service/support. Good customer service is often lacking with many companies. I consider it highly important when purchasing a product. Although I have not experienced any issues with the Mojo, I did have issues with another product from this company. Whenever I contacted them, they responded immediately, usually within a few minutes. I was even contacted by the company's CEO; communication was excellent. In short, my issue was handled in a MORE than satisfactory manner. I can't say enough about this. Purchase this product; you will not be sorry.

Pros:
* Excellent quality - well made, solid, sleek design
* Great for emergencies, travelling, long flights, and gaming
* Versatile - will charge lots of devices, comes with 10 adapter tips and a retractable USB cable
* Can plug battery directly to iphone/ipod using adapter tip or can attach the adapter tip to included USB cable giving you more flexibility (you could use the Apple cable that came with your phone, but I like to keep that at home)
* Charges my iphone at least 3 full charges
* Can revive/charge a dead device (0% energy) which most external batteries won't as I have found out. I tested this with my iphone and it works. With other batteries you usually have to use the Apple charger for a few minutes to get it to 1% or greater first
* Can charge iphone/ipod and use it at the same time
* 5 charging LEDs indicating remaining battery life
* LED flashlight on side of battery is very handy. I have had occasion to use it and it is surprisingly bright
* Battery will turn off in 30 seconds if you forget to turn it off

Cons:
* Must recharge battery from wall adapter. I do not consider this a negative, but some people might. 3gJuice explains using the wall adapter loads the battery much faster. Charging from a USB-port would be very slow for this size battery.
* Some people might not like the high gloss finish which is more prone to fingerprints. I actually like the finish.

Please note: if you get a warning that states "this device is not compatible", you must first connect the battery to the device and then turn on the battery. If the battery is on when you connect it to a device like the iphone, it will give you this error message.

I am re-reviewing this product. The first Major Mojo 3GJuice that was sent did not work. After contacting the company, the CEO shipped a new one out express shipping. It arrived within a couple of days, and it works like a charm. I am so pleased! This is really a wonderful product and makes my iPhone 3GS so much more useful in situations where I don't have a convenient way to charge my phone. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!

A Whole Lot Of Juice!!

If you're someone like me that travels a lot for work or is always playing with their phone, THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM!!
Charges your ipone/ipod/blackberry/etc rather quickly not having to charge the battery everyday. My wife and I went a very long time without having to have to charge the Mojo, it really stores a lot of juice compared to what is currently on the market. You will receive a great deal of attachments with the Mojo making it possible to use with all of your devices. Make sure that when you go to charge your iphone that the battery is on first, if not nothing will happen. Before I made the purchase I was concerned that the Mojo might be too large, not the case anymore. For what this device can do....size doesn't matter! The Major Mojo will keep you productive and connected without the worries of losing your power, a must have item for any device.

Worked great for the first six months...but had an issue that was resolved.

I bought this Mojo 6 months ago for my iPhone as an emergency power source and didn't use any of the included power adapters or attachments. Instead, I just used the Apple USB connector which works great if you use an Otterbox Defender case. My gripe about this product is that it worked really good early on where I would be able to charge my iPhone at least twice when it gave me the 20% power left alert before having to recharge the Mojo, but now when I try to charge the Mojo and it displays the fully charged blinking lights, it goes completely dead when I attempt to charge anything. This makes me wonder why it's no longer offered for sale here at present. So in trying to rectify my problem, I first contacted Mr. Henk van Ess about the battery dying only after 6 months of use and he offered to send me a new one at no charge so I'll have to wait and see if he keeps his word. Also, just in case anyone else has experienced a dead battery before its 12 month warranty, I also contacted Amazon about this and this is what they replied:

I've checked the product details of the 3GJuice "Major Mojo" 5400 mAh for iPhone and I saw that the twelve month warranty on the items product details page was offered by the items manufacturer, and I'm really sorry about this misunderstanding.

I'd like to help, and so I'd recommend that you consult your owner's manual and/or contacting the manufacturer to see if the problem in question is covered by the manufacturer's warranty as they'll be able to work this out for you.

Most manufacturers list contact information on the product packaging. If you can't find the information there, you might want to try doing a web search to find their phone number or website.

This pretty much means your out of luck getting any kind of restitution from them.

UPDATE, Jan. 11, 2010:
Ok, so it's been 2 weeks since Mr. Henk van Ess replied and told me he'd send a new Mojo to replace the defective one, but I haven't received anything yet so for now, I'm stuck with a $70 chunk of plastic and won't be purchasing anymore products from this vendor. I may try the Satechi iCel 4400 mAh battery as an alternative.

LAST AND FINAL UPDATE, Feb. 22, 2010:
A month has passed since Mr. van Ess' promise to send me a new replacement Mojo, but nothing has arrived. My claim was within the company's 12 month warranty too. This Major Mojo is a piece of junk and waste of money. I'm so disappointed.

NEW UPDATE, Feb. 24, 2010: Ok, so the CEO of 3G has made good and followed through on his promise to send a replacement for the dud I had for 6 months and it works great. I guess my initial request got lost during the holiday season since I originally contacted him around Thanksgiving time. Thank you for keeping your word Mr. van Ess. You're a stand up guy. A+

Works Like a Charm!!

I bought this item because I was going to Singapore and the total flight time (with connections and layovers) was going to be well over 24 hours. I had heard horror stories about people getting on these flights and the screens for in-flight intertainment not working. I saw this 3GJuice, read the claims and reviews and gave it a shot. I never ran out of power for the entire trip. I only had to use it twice, but it worked great. I also tried it out on my Blackberry 8830 as well as my Motorola V3xx and it worked great with both of those items, too. I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs emergency charging power for your iPod, cell phone, PDA, whatever. Make sure it has the adapter for your device included, though.
